Vendor Application for Summer 2022
Interested in participating in the farmer's market in downtown Salem? Here's what you need to know:
1) Vendors who commit to being at the market every Saturday, June 18 - August 27, 2022, will be given a permanent, assigned booth space. (We understand that emergencies and weather may impact your attendance, but we ask that you to commit to being a reliable, cornerstone vendor.)
2) Vendors who would like to join us from time-to-time are more than welcome! Booth spaces (8' x 8' and 10' x 10') will be marked on the lot. Spots will be open for first-come, first-reserved every Saturday morning at 7:00 a.m.
3) Vendors are responsible for obtaining a Mobile Vendor Permit from the City of Salem (vendors with produce only are exempt) for a one-time fee of $25.
4) Vendors are responsible for obtaining necessary permits from the Marion County Health Department. Please contact the Health Department for requirements at 618-548-3878.
6) Vendors are responsible for obtaining necessary licenses for sales tax collection through the Illinois Department of Revenue, as necessary. Contact your tax preparer for requirements.
5) There is NO FEE for being a farmer's market vendor! We welcome vendors who grow produce and/or meat, offer handmade baked goods and craft items, honey and maple syrup bottlers, etc. Please do not submit an application to display commercial items such as health supplements, storage containers, or cosmetics.
